A gravure update in sunny Miami
Just in time for another snowstorm in Chicago, I leave tomorrow for sunny Miami and the 11th annual Operational Conference of the Packaging and Label Gravure Association Global. I look forward every late February to attending this annual event (and not just to get out of the cold for a few days) because it provides a great update on gravure amid a gathering of 200 or more package printers, converters and their suppliers.
This year's theme of "Fast Forward into The Future" includes several sessions I'm really anxious to report back to you on. Among them: What Will Traditional Markets be Doing in 2013?; Tomorrow's Package, Are You Ready?; Security Printing; RFID and Printed Electronic Circuitry; and Sustainability.
Of course, the program starts out Wednesday night with announcing the winners of the PLGA annual Print Quality Awards. So, check back here and on our home page to see more about the 2008 US and international segment winners. Read more about last year's winners by clicking HERE.
