The Model 520 20.5-in. CID rotary letterpress prints and diecuts folding cartons and flexible materials for labels. The press includes six stations with one closed-chamber varnishing unit and three inline diecutting stands. The press combines the letterpress advantages of greater ink capacity and printing consistency with the efficiency, finishing speed and safety of UV curing.

Features longer wear life

Six-roller L/S Easy Load® peristaltic pumpheads offer improved accuracy in dispensing and flow control. The units feature a polysulfone or polyphenylene sulfide housing, a stainless steel rotor and fast loading/unloading via an overthrow lever.

The Inflex linear low-density polyethylene packaging film line uses Topas® cyclic olefin copolymer to improve stiffness, clarity, sealing behavior and slip. The four sealant-layer blends of Inflex M0466, M964, M0086 and M927 have shown to raise line speeds, reduce rejects and allow for thinner sealant layers, says co.

Cantilevered idler roll

The Narrow Web Tension Transducer measures process tension across widths from 7 to 14 in. A cantilevered idler roll with built-in dual-beam strain-gauge sensors, the transducer is available in a variety of load ratings and mounting styles. It is CE marked and supplies accurate tension signal from its cantilevered position in the web path of a single-frame label press or web machine to an indicator, controller, PLC or computer.

For flexo printing

Two new natural rubber compounds, Flow-Rite and Grind-Rite, are available for the flexographic printing market. Both are available in standard gauges or can be customized. With disposable ink cartridge

By adding a 4-oz disposable ink cartridge to the CC Series reciprocating imprinter, ink rollers are continuously inked while the machine is actively printing. The ink rolls must be pre-inked before installing the 4-oz. ink cartridge.

Fit anilox rolls

Protective roll covers are made to fit anilox rolls, gravure rolls and plate cylinders. These custom designed covers are of heavy vinyl construction with elastic ends that fit snugly over the roll journal. The interior is lined with a 1/4-in. thick pad that aids in the protection of your roll surface. Removal and installation is made through the use of a Velcro closure that is stitched to the entire length of the cover. Stitched to the outside of the cover, a pouch with a clear window allows for identification for storage and documents concerning the roll, such as cell count, repeat length and service dates.

Uses sodium bicarbonate

The F.C.T. Model 2000 is a compact anilox cleaning system. This sodium bicarbonate blasting unit cleans any anilox roll up to 24 in. Bearings and gears do not need to be removed. An automatic shutdown and self-sealing are features on the system. Actual cleaning time is about 4 min. The nozzle assembly has total vertical and lateral controls to perform a direct blast.

The Polymag® nip-to-nip oscillating web cleaner is used for cleaning paper, film or foil webs at speeds over 3,000 fpm. This custom design can use a variety of cleaning heads. Other design configurations can be made to fit your cleaning needs.

For packaging film

A new dryer system for solvent-based ink on food packaging film allows thorough, high-speed processing of the web at 80 fpm, without damaging the film substrate. High-velocity, hot-air impingement nozzles inside the dryer direct a perpendicular stream of air at the web's surface. The air breaks through the boundary layer of air that surrounds the moving web, which facilitates heat transfer to the product.
