Oak Creek, Wis.-based Northwest Coatings Corp. constructs an additional lab to support its growth of UV/EB products. The lab is equipped with a UV curing unit for quality control of production batches and an electron beam unit for product development and production batch testing. Northwest manufactures UV/EB curable and water-base coatings and adhesives.
Doylestown, Pa.-based Stork GSE Dispensing Inc., acquired by Holland-based Stork NV, joins a worldwide network of about 120 Stork companies with combined sales of $2.2 billion. Benefits include quickening the pace of the company's globalization efforts.
Milwaukee-based Anguil Environmental Systems, supplier of air pollution control systems, acquires Smith Environmental Corp., Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. Both companies are global suppliers of custom-engineered technologies to control smog-producing volatile organic compounds and other pollutants.
Troy, Ohio-based Spinnaker Industries, Inc. closes its production facility in Westbrook, Maine, and sells certain assets to Fasson Roll North America. Spinnaker will transition the former Westbrook products and services to Fasson. Spinnaker supplies paper stock for labels and produces stock for pressure-sensitive U.S. postage stamps.
