Provider of prepress printing services Imaginex (Mississauga, Ont.) installs a fully automated in-the-round flexographic sleeve processor. The 60ASL, by MacDermid Graphic Arts, automatically exposes and processes up to 11 sleeve-mounted, digital photopolymer plates simultaneously.
Natick, Mass.-based Hosokawa Alpine American installs its 500th complete blown-film extrusion system. Food packaging films, and consumer, recloseable, merchandise, grocery and produce bags are some of the products produced on the company's extrusion equipment.
After nine months of beta testing, City Stamp Works, a DieGraphics Co. Inc., purchases two Agfajet Sherpa digital proofers for its facilities in Ludlow, Mass., and Rochester, N.Y. The units are Agfa Corp.'s (Ridgefield Park, N.J.) newest line of digital color-proofing systems.
During CMM Intl. 2001 in Chicago, U.K.-based Ashe Converting Equipment obtained orders for three Sapphire slitter/rewinders and a Solitaire machine.
