Packaging machinery spending to level off
Staff -- Converting Magazine, 7/1/2001
Spending for packaging machinery by U.S. domestic companies is expected to level off in 2001 to approximately $4.9 billion in sales, excluding parts, according to the Packaging Machinery Mfrs. Institute's fourth annual U.S. Packaging Machinery Purchasing Plans Study.
"Year after year, consumer and industrial packaging companies continue to seek efficient, productive packaging machinery from machinery manufacturers, and 2001 is no exception. The packaging machinery industry has experienced growth in the area of 3 percent each year for the past few years," says Chuck Yuska, PMMI president.
