Insul-Fab retrofits Contech Ultrapress

Staff -- Converting Magazine, 7/1/2001

Texas-based fabricator and diecutter Insul-Fab retrofits its 1989 Ultrapress as well as purchases another new Ultrapress from Contech, Goddard, Kansas. The new unit, a 36x48-in. press that operates at 800 cycles/hr, can be sheet- or web-fed.

"We needed a new press to handle diecutting our copper/aluminum foil RFI shields as well as some of our sound-proofing materials. We also needed some custom work done for the Ultrapress," says Ken Morgan, Insul-Fab production manager.
