Printpack raises product prices 5-20%

-- Converting Magazine, 9/3/2008

Atlanta-based flex-pack converting giant Printpack, Inc. (www.printpack.com) announces a 5%-20% price increase across all product lines, with increases dependent on the particular materials and processes used for each product.

Despite Printpack’s ongoing work to improve productivity and decrease waste, significant increases in the costs for raw materials, energy, and transportation have had an acute impact on manufacturing costs, the company says. The price increase will take effect over the next several weeks.

Printpack is a privately-held manufacturer of flexible and specialty rigid packaging. Founded in 1956, Printpack employs 4,500 associates worldwide, and operates 26 manufacturing facilities in the US, Mexico and the United Kingdom.
