Kollman Label acquires Dixie Printing & Packaging

Yardley, PA-based Kollman Label and Packaging Group completed its purchase Aug. 18 of an undisclosed interest in Dixie Printing and Packaging of Baltimore.

Dixie prints folding cartons for food and personal-care companies such as Procter & Gamble, McCormick, GOJO and others in the eastern US. The plant employs more than 100 workers and uses the latest prepress and press technologies to convert 7-color, UV- and conventional-coated cartons. A. Newth Morris III, founding family member will continue as president/CEO of Dixie.

Kollman Label and Packaging Group is a newly formed corporation, headed by Kevin Kollman. The group focuses on bringing together medium-sized companies in the labeling and packaging field. The two companies will jointly market products to food, beverage, pharmaceutical and personal-care customers in North America.

In addition to the Dixie purchase, Kollman is engaged purchasing other labelmakers; several deals are scheduled to be completed by the first quarter of 2009.
