The DuPontT Cyrelr FAST system can be used for flexible packages. It produces a dry digital flexo plate and is said to cut production time by as much as 75%. Cyrel FAST can be imaged by any of the commercially available flexo computer-to-plate (CTP) engines and then processed in 15 min. with the Cyrelr 1000TD processor. Using a precisely controlled heat source, and little contact pressure from the Cyrel FAST developer roll, unexposed portions of the relief layer are removed. After removing it, the plate is ready for finishing.
