These heat transfer rolls are said to offer precise temperature control to within plus or minus one deg across the face of the roll. A proprietary, computerized heat-transfer-analysis program is used to analyze each customer's process parameters and to design a roll with precise and predictable heat transfer performance. Each custom roll features a double-wall, spiral-wrap design that helps the fluid flow over the entire inside surface of the roll. A calculated space between the inner and outer roll allows fluid crossover, which evens out the temperature differentials between the spiral channels.
