Madison, NJ-based Seminars For Engineers expands its web-handling and converting training services by offering to bring seminars and instructors’ consulting expertise on-site to any company’s location. With fewer employees assuming more responsibilities and financial resources managed more tightly than ever, the need for quality training is a critical but sometimes overlooked budgetary priority. By bringing the instructor’s seminar content and consultation experience together to a company’s facility, a client can save significantly on staff travel time and costs, train large groups of employees at one time, and focus on specialized problem areas that require specific, hard-to-find expertise.
“Our consultants possess diverse technical backgrounds and extensive experience in web-based conveyance issues,” says Bill Ebner, director of technical seminars. “They know what questions to ask, and with their expertise provide quick and practical insights that often result in immediate solutions and significant cost savings.” Areas of expertise include heating and cooling of the web, coating, drying, laminating, slitting, winding, tension control, and alignment, among others.
The introduction of these on-site services grew out of frequent requests from engineers who wanted to bring the training to their internal engineering groups after attended the consultancy's seminars. Also questions raised during these seminars became natural springboards for the pursuit of solutions through consulting services. Clients include 3M, Abitibi, Bemis Associates, Hewlett Packard, Hexcel, Hollister, MeadWestvaco, Sealed Air Corp., Celgard, US Playing Card, Solutia, RR Donnelley, Shawmut, Owens Corning, Procter & Gamble, Rogers and Saint Gobain among others.
