Mason Wells acquires equity of Coating Excellence Intl.

Private-equity firm Mason Wells (www.masonwells.com) acquires the equity of flex-pack maker Coating Excellence International (CEI) (www.coatingexcellence.com) on March 19. The Wrightstown, WI-based company specializes in extrusion coating, laminating, printing and woven bags.

Says Tom Smith, senior managing director of Mason Wells, “Coating Excellence’s skilled workforce, state-of-the-art equipment and experienced management team are all factors that have allowed the company to consistently meet the expectations of its customers. We believe the company is extremely well positioned to capitalize on a number of growth markets in the flexible-packaging industry.”

Coating Excellence converts flex-pack products for niche applications within the office, food, consumer, industrial and specialty packaging end markets. CEI produces environmentally conscious products that require a variety of substrates, highly technical water-based printing requirements and ready-to-use converting capabilities.
