Mark Spaulding, Editor in Chief -- Converting Magazine, 2/28/2008 9:12:00 AM

Four university students from across the US received scholarships from the Packaging and Label Gravure Association Global's Educational Foundation (Williamson, NY) at the group's 11th Operational Conference today. Each $2,000 scholarship will assist the students in furthering their education and future careers in the gravure-printing industry.

The recipients include Julie White, a junior at Pittsburg State University (Pittsburg, KS); Sri Hemanth Prakya, a graduate student at the Rochester Institute of Technology (Rochester, NY); Amber Allan, a junior at Western Michigian University (Kalamazoo, MI); and Therera Block, a senior at Cal Poly State University (San Luis Obispo, CA).

The scholarship recipients all officially applied for the PLGA Global Educational Foundation awards and were chosen by their university professors or advisers.
