Neff Packaging holds new-plant open house

Cartonmaker Neff Packaging Solutions invited customers, vendors and local officials to an open house recently at the company's new 122,000-sq-ft facility in Simpsonville, KY. The event, which drew more than 200 visitors, also featured seminars on a variety of important industry topics. Featured guest speaker Jerry Van de Water, president of the Paperboard Packaging Council, led the presentation on “Sustainability in Paperboard Packaging.” The second seminar on Paperboard Supply & Market Trends featured speakers Kevin Sullivan–RockTenn, Mike Lappa–Potlatch Corp., Carl Baumgardner–International Paper and was moderated by Jim Younkin–Neff Packaging Solutions.
A 6-color Heidelberg (www.us.heidelberg.com) Speedmaster XL 105 press, along with a new 8-color Speedmaster CD 102 are the plant's printing focus.
