On the converting floor : Guides improve product consistency
CP Flexible Packaging (York, PA), a supplier of flexible packaging, shrink sleeves and roll-fed labels, has been using Fife web guides on its printing, laminating and shrink sleeve lines to reduce scrap and improve product consistency.
“The guides are older but are still running well,” says Gary Esher, CP Flexible Packaging's maintenance manager. “We're especially happy with the Fife guides because they are extremely reliable and user friendly.” The web guides ensure that the web is aligned prior to entering the printer, laminator or slitter—eliminating waste.
