Flex-packer Sunshine Plastics to add W&H 10-color CI-flexo press

Flex-pack printer and converter Sunshine Plastics, Inc., of Montebello, CA, purchases a 10-color PRIMAFLEX® CM flexographic press from Windmoeller & Hoelscher Corp. (www.whcorp.com). The 52-in. CI-flexo press (at left) is expected to be operational in early 2008. It also features W&H's EASY-SET fully automatic impression-setting system in conjunction with EASY-REG, the recently introduced automatic registration-setup system.

Sunshine Plastics specializes in food packaging and has recently enjoyed growth in such markets as snack foods, produce, frozen foods, pet foods, bakery and lawn & garden. The company extrudes film, prints and laminates, as well as converts bags, pouches and laser micro-perforated products. It is further expanding capabilities with the installation this fall of a Comexi Nexus EVO solventless laminator (www.comexi.com), which it purchased at CMM Intl. 2007.
