Researchers and engineers from nine different countries as well as industry professionals from across the US were on hand recently for the 9th Intl. Conference on Web Handling (IWEB), sponsored by the Web Handling Research Center (WHRC) at Oklahoma State University in Oklahoma City.

Best Paper Awards were presented to Session 1: “Mechatronic Damping for Contact Roll in Film Winders” by Bernd Sieber, Brueckner Maschinenbau GmbH, Germany; Session 2: “Shear Slitting of Aluminum Webs Using Block Knives” by Hongbing Lu, Oklahoma State University, USA; Session 3: “Aerodynamic Dancer” by Euiyeol Hong, Oklahoma State University, USA; and Session 4: “Web Sag and the Effect of Camber on Steering” by Dilwyn Jones, Emral, Ltd., UK.
