The PREMIUS digital 3chip web-inspection and print-process management system integrates a digital 3-chip camera with 4.2-megapixel resolution and a new extra large field of view. It has the ability to show light and dark details simultaneously, allowing sharp contrast along the entire color spectrum. Software options include defect detection, color monitoring, in-line barcode quality inspection and register presetting. Operators can also generate comprehensive reports on print quality from the printing press by simply connecting a computer printer to the PREMIUS digital 3chip system.

Co. introduced at CMM Intl. 2007 the latest version of the Print-Vision/Jupiter automatic inspection system, which includes new value-added modules and improvements in system performance and ease of use. Its pRegister module for automatic registration control reportedly brings up to 10 colors in perfect register in less than a minute, with substrate waste cut to less than 300 ft. The Presco module for automatic plate and anilox pressure presetting and control sets up for 10 colors in less than 3 min, cutting waste to less than 650 ft. The IखEal module provides in-line color measurement and management tools. pRegister, Presco and IखEal are the add-on modules.
