Power supply
The Compak™ 2000 power supply for corona-treating applications is said to simplify installation and operation by integrating multiple functions into a single operator interface, which also includes data logs, remote communications for integrated line control and support for multiple languages. It features PLC control and customization of user-defined capabilities such as signal-system startup. The unit also supports Ethernet and other network protocols.

Convertible corona treater
Co.'s new convertible corona-treatment system is available with both fixed-width bare roll and fixed-width conventional electrodes, which allow operators to change from one electrode to another by simply flipping a switch. High-voltage runs are pre-wired with co.'s flexible HV coaxial cables for simple installation. This corona system can work with any material, co. says.

Versatile treaters
Surface-treating equipment that were on display at CMM Intl. 2007 includes the Vetaphone Corona-Plus line of systems for coating, printing and laminating applications. Design manuals and configurators are available to provide the best solution to specific needs. The TOU8 and TOW8 stations, which feature compact, open designs for single- or double-sided treatment, allow easy thread-up and adjustment of air gap with digital adjuster, and can both be fitted with the co.'s Quick Change electrode cartridge. Due to the new station design, ozone is extracted evenly along the whole electrode, said to ensure efficient cooling of the backing rollers and extend the lifetime on roller coverings.
