Mark Andy (www.markandy.com) opens a new European Advanced Technology Center in Basel, Switzerland. The new 3,000-sq-ft facility houses a 1,200-sq-ft showroom/demo facility and a 1,000-sq-ft parts department.
Gorham, ME-based Montalvo Corp. (www.montalvo.com) replaces its old load-cell testing facility with one that “not only can record and store information about the customer's load cells, but can provide the customer with much quicker feedback and analysis,” says Rolf Olsen, vice president of sales.
Converting-machinery maker The Hudson-Sharp Machine Co. (www.hudsonsharp.com) says the assembly operations for Hudson-Sharp do Brasil will move to its manufacturing headquarters in Green Bay, WI. “The move will simplify operations and eliminate redundancy,” says Rod Drummond, president and chief executive officer.
Chicago-based pumps maker Graymills Corp. (www.graymills.com) is now the exclusive North American distributor for Fasnacht+Co AG (www.fasnacht.biz) viscosity-control systems, one of the world's leading manufacturers of viscosity controls for flexographic and gravure printing. Graymills will offer support for current Fasnacht/Graphicart America systems as well as sales of new installations.
Extrusion Dies Industries, Chippewa Falls, WI, purchases Liberty Coating Equipment, a manufacturer of slot-die coating systems. Slot-die equipment has been Liberty's chief business but is one of several at EDI, which also supplies flat dies for sheet, film and extrusion coating.
