Armadillos race

At AIMCAL Winter Meeting opening reception

Staff -- Converting Magazine, 4/1/2007

In one of the more unusual association-meeting opening receptions Converting Magazine has ever attended, armadillos (no, we're not making this up) helped entertain members of the Assn. of Industrial Metallizers, Coaters & Laminators at the group's Winter Management Meeting in Austin, TX, last month. Entertainment surrounding the evening's buffet dinner included various “stereotypically Texan” activities such as the aforementioned armadillos racing under the banner of various AIMCAL teams (distinguished by different colored bandanas) and “fake” cowpie shuffleboard. Sorry, but no official tally of which armadillo—Speed Bump, Quesa-dillo or Roadkill—won the most races is available.
