CMM Tech Center to Bridge Narrow- and Mid-web Converting

Staff -- Converting Magazine, 12/1/2006

To help converters better understand how they can combine both narrow- and mid-web technologies, CMM and DiTrolio Flexographic Institute will present a new Technology Center at CMM Intl. 2007. The show, which runs June 4-7, 2007, at the Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL (www.cmmshow.com), is organized by PennWell.

The “Narrow- to Mid-Web Technology Center” will feature operating equipment from leading manufacturers producing actual jobs on the show floor all four days of the event. Converting professionals from around the world will be able to see various jobs being produced using both narrow- and mid-web equipment.

“This will be a very unique and valuable experience for CMM attendees,” says Vince DiTrolio, founder and chief executive officer of DiTrolio Flexographic Institute (www.flexotraining.com). “Converters will be able to meet with technical people from the world's leading equipment suppliers on the show floor as well as receive certification training as part of the conference program.”

Located near Chicago, the DiTrolio Flexographic Institute has trained and placed several hundred press operators throughout North and South America since its founding in 1999. The institute works closely with industry suppliers and associations to provide certified training at all skill levels.
