St. Gallen, Switzerland-based pressmaker The Gallus Group (www.gallus.org) completes its acquisition of a full ownership stake in BHS Druck- und Veredelungstechnik GmbH (Weiden, Germany). Gallus initially purchased 30 percent of BHS in October 2005. The takeover will grow Gallus' involvement in folding-carton manufacturing through mid- and wide-web printing presses and flatbed diecutters, the company says. It will apply the company's multiple-process expertise developed in the narrow-web printing business, namely the modular linking of several printing and processing steps on the same platform, to the mid- and wide-web machines of BHS.
De Pere, WI-based MEGTEC Systems, Inc. (www.megtec.com), purchases the assets of the QuadTech® Web Guidance System and QuadTech® Silicone Coater product lines from QuadTech, Inc. The move further expands MEGTEC Systems' current web-handling product offerings.
