Printpack Buys Sleeve-label Maker Seal-It

Staff -- Converting Magazine, 12/1/2006

Looking to expand its capabilities into the dynamic shrink-sleeve and label market, Atlanta-based flex-pack converting giant Printpack, Inc., acquires Seal-It, Inc., on Nov. 20. The Farmingdale, NY, company specializes in printed, sleeved and flat heat-shrink PVC, PLA, PET-G and OPS films. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Seal-It is an ideal addition to Printpack,” says Dennis M. Love, Printpack president. “It brings us new and important market relationships, and the company has a proven record of delivering superior products and service to its customers. This transaction strengthens our strategic commitment to expanding our offerings of value-added flexible packaging.”

Sharon Lobel, founder and president of Seal-It, will remain as a full-time consultant to Printpack following completion of the sale.
