Folding-carton converters from across the country benefitted recently from six days of innovation and insight into the latest converting systems during Direction 06—an open house sponsored by machinery-maker Bobst Group USA (www.bobstgroup.com).

During the event, held at Bobst's Roseland, NJ, facility Sept. 21-26, experts addressed trends affecting the growth, profitability and sustainability of carton converting operations. Interactive presentations and equipment demos (right) were also offered. Among the jobs shown were the diecutting, foil-stamping and folding/gluing of straightline, diamond, plastic and wine boxes.
