Digital pressure gauge

The AccuGauge Media Isolated Digital Pressure Gauge is reportedly ideal for applications that require high proof and burst pressures. It can measure in psi, bar and others, making it compatible with all pressure measurement types, co. says. The AccuGauge is also vacuum-calibrated for pressure ranges under 500 psi. A min/max feature lets users track minimum and maximum pressure readings.

Moisture-measurement system

Used for continuous on-line analysis on moving webs or hopper-drop chutes, the SMART II system compares energy at two near infrared (NIR) wavelengths to determine moisture on a continuous basis. The system is made up of the SMART II wall-mounted console and an NIR sensor. The non-contact NIR sensor measures near-surface moisture in a wide range of applications, and the moisture content is presented on the digital display.

Contrast sensor

The Dura-Vue™ DK 12-11/124/136 contrast sensor detects differences in two colors or media. Typical applications include registration-mark detection before cutting or converting of paper products. The unit features a three-color light source in order to better adapt to difficult contrast applications and LEDs for visual status indication and diagnostics.

Position-measurement system

The GHSE 750 line of 24-volt, spring-loaded position sensors offer accurate position measurements in a variety of dimensional gauging applications. Made with stainless steel, these hermetically-sealed, 19-mm-diameter sensors reportedly have a long service life. The output from this line can work with most PLCs, digital indicators and A/D converters, among others. They also can be operated directly from a typical PLC’s 24-volt power.

Thickness gauging system

Co. upgrades its entire family of thickness measurement and control systems with Total Distributed Intelligence (TDI). Using the D-BRIC processing engine, every sensor is converted into an iSensor™ that independently performs all measurement tasks. These iSensors connect via standard Ethernet to form a network of intelligent, operator workstations. While each device manages its process area, the workstation is used as a browser to pull product data from the appropriate sensor.

Handles various testing applications

Capable of measuring thin films, foil and plastics, the new TT2100 tensile tester shows real-time force and elongation on a computer monitor as the force and elongation values change. Along with tensile testing, the TT2100 can also test tear strength, peel strength, adhesion and coefficient of friction, among other properties typical of converting-related substrates. A number of grips for different types of material are available.

Upgrade system for older tensile testers

Older tensile-testing frames that need a boost can use the Materials Tester Upgrade System, which features the Model 4215 Smart Indicator. The Smart Indicator combines force channels, encoder position channels and print capabilities. The 4215 features TEDS-Tag auto load-cell identification and 24-bit resolution. The system can be used for tensile, compression, peel, adhesives, textiles and wire testing.

Tensile tester

The Lab Master® ZDT tensile tester determines internal bond strength to 113 kg with 4.5-g resolution and +/-0.02 percent accuracy. Peak force is measured by applying force in the z-direction until ply separation occurs. The ZDT tester can be used with fine paper, linerboard, carton board, coatings and laminates.
