Compact web guide integrates easily

Designed for simple integration, the compact ekrPro Com 60 web guide can be used over a wide range of printing and converting applications. Available in stand-alone or mount units, it combines color-coded icons and an LCD dot matrix display. The ekr Pro Com 60 works with line, contrast and edge sensors, as well as CCD Pro cameras, automatic servo center and FVG automatic edge-seeking devices.

Digital line, edge sensor

Co.'s DLS digital line and edge-detection sensor for web guiding will detect a printed line, holographic image or the material edge. The DLS features two-button operation, an automatic calibration program, LEDs to indicate material or line position and contrast level, and a lighted focal point for sensor positioning.

Edge detector remains stationary

The WideArray™ edge detector eases the use of web guides, co says, by keeping the edge detector stationary with thread-up chains. To avoid the thread-up chain, the manufacturer expanded the gap and throat of detectors.

Web guide and splice table

This new integrated web guide and splice table design combines two critical functions into one and reduces in-machine web path. Available for web widths up to 28 in., the HDNC-style guide locates an operator display in the guide frame. Tension control through Ethernet/IP

Co. has expanded the communications capabilities of the HI 3300 tension controller to include Ethernet/IP. This is said to provide even greater integration capabilities for tension control in web and cable/strand applications. The HI 3300 directly controls a drive or braking system based on the actual direct measurement of the product tension.

Idler roll with tension sensors

The TR Tension Roll® transducer consists of a dead-shaft idler roll with tension sensors built into each roll-end. It can measure process web tension in any substrate and is available in two standard roll diameters. Guide rapidly corrects alignment
