Jackson, MO-based flexible-packaging converter Nordenia USA purchases the 1,000th laminator manufactured by supplier Nordmeccanica (Piacenza, Italy). It will be installed early this year. Machine Serial Number 1000, a top-of-the-line Duplex Combi Horizontal laminator, is an important milestone for Nordmeccanica in that 700 such systems have been sold in only the past six years.

Nordenia USA, part of Nordenia Intl. AG in Germany, converts a variety of flexible materials and technical films. It has won several Achievement Awards from the Flexible Packaging Association.

Nordmeccanica will celebrate its 28th anniversary in 2006. Five years ago, the company opened its Nordmeccanica NA division (Long Island, NY), which provides sales and services across North America as well as offering in-house laminator demonstrations, training, and customer pilot trials.
