AB Graphic Hails New IL Facility: Hosts open house, digital-converting demonstrations

AB Graphic Intl., headquartered in Ontario, CA, hosted an open house Nov. 8–10 to celebrate the completion of its new Midwest sales and service facility in Elgin, IL (www.abgint.com).
Labelmakers were treated to dinner, a panel discussion and a lively presentation Nov. 8 by Lisa Contini of Synergy Sales on selling digitally-printed products, courtesy of HP Indigo. Contini demonstrated how to change converters' mindset from selling commodities to selling value. Value is what your customers are able to do for their business with your product, she says. "Attach your digital solution to (your customers') problems," Contini suggested.
At the Elgin facility, visitors saw demonstrations of the HP Indigo digital-offset press ws4050 and the Omega Digicon E+ digital-finishing line. Other machines also used for demonstrations were the Omega TI 150, designed to integrate RFID tags and other types of inserts into finished rolls of pressure-sensitive labels, and the SR 1300, an inspection slitter/rewinder integrated with the AVT Helios One camera.
