TLMI okays 2006 budget, gains membership

The Naperville, IL-based Tag & Label Manufacturers Institute (TLMI) approved its 2006 budget, reported higher membership numbers and okayed management title changes Oct. 19 at its annual business meeting in Lake Las Vegas, NV.
A 2006 budget of $1,537,265 in revenues with $1,292,297 in expenses was approved. There will be no dues increase.
TLMI now has a total membership of 310 companies; while it lost 27 members, the group gained 36 new members. The roster includes 153 converter companies, 141 supplier members and 16 international companies.
Executive director Frank A. Sablone's title has been changed to president, in keeping with other industry associations. President of the TLMI board of directors, Scott Pillsbury of Rose City Label Co., now has the title of chairman of the board.
TLMI also honored the winners of its 2005 Annual Label Competition Oct. 21 during an annual banquet (see page 22).
