Filmmaker Haremar Opens consolidated Toronto plant with two new BGE lines

Editor: Mark Spaulding -- Converting Magazine, 10/1/2005

Canada's Haremar Plastic Manufacturing, Ltd., produces monolayer and coextruded films for produce, courier bags, bakery overwraps, and can liners. Its new 139,000-sq-ft Toronto facility unites two smaller sites and, following a 25-year supplier relationship, includes several equipment installations from Battenfeld Gloucester Engineering (Gloucester, MA). Both a new BGE three-layer coextrusion and a monolayer line have joined three other BGE blown-film lines in the plant for a total of 12 systems. The company also has six bag-making lines, several of which are from Battenfeld Gloucester.
