Holdover to August: UK cartonmaker upgrades with ops Sandvik cutting rules

Staff -- Converting Magazine, 7/1/2005

Increasing quality demands from food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics packaging customers has led UK-based folding-carton converter Qualvis, Ltd., to specify Dieflex™ Ultra cutting rules for its diemaking requirements. The rules are supplied by Sandvik Diecutting Products, Benton Harbor, MI. Qualvis, which specializes in high-quality carton printing, had been having dust problems from its packaging—particularly for its food and pharmaceutical customers. Sandvik Dieflex Ultra rules are said to combine the two contradictory requirements of good bendability and high wear resistance. "The properties of Dieflex Ultra cutting rules are certainly helping us to meet our quality standards," says Qualvis diemaker Andy Cherry. "From a diemaking perspective, the Dieflex Ultra rules are ideal and extremely reliable."
