Editor: Mark Spaulding -- Converting Magazine, 9/1/2005
Montreal, Quebec, Canada-based Alcan, Inc., says that it will invest US$42.6 million in building a package converting facility in Reidsville Industrial Park, NC. The new plant will produce printed packaging, including folding cartons and labels, for key customers in Alcan Packaging's global tobacco business.
The new facility is expected to create 170 jobs and use state-of-the art gravure printing processes. Construction on the site will begin this fall, and operations are planned to start at the end of the second quarter of 2006.
