After an extensive evaluation of defect-detection systems on the market, flexible-packaging printer Global Packaging selects the Premius Digital 3 Chip from BST Pro Mark (Elmhurst, IL) for its CI-flexo film-printing operations.

Global has ordered two Premius systems with defect detection, automatic color monitoring, bar-code verification, register pre-setting and Job/Roll Reporting. The units will be installed on CI-flexo presses at Global's Oaks, PA, facility: one on a Windmoeller & Hoelscher (Lincoln, RI) Novaflex CM 10-color press and another on a PCMC 8-color press (Green Bay, WI). The Premius Digital 3 Chip is a complete web-inspection system with a comprehensive set of visual inspection tools combined with technologically advanced all-digital hardware and a sophisticated print-process management software package.
