Brazilian Filmmaker Invests in Battenfeld Gloucester cast-polypropylene line

Editor: Mark Spaulding -- Converting Magazine, 8/1/2005

Strengthening its growth through the use of high-tech equipment, filmmaker CBS Elos do Brazil invests in a cast-polypropylene (CPP) film line from Battenfeld Gloucester Engineering (Gloucester, MA).

The 3-layer coextrusion line with three Contracool® extruders is able to process Type ABC structures with a final film width of 10 ft. This complete system has the capacity to process 2,400 lbs/hr and will enable CBS to fulfill the increasing demand for laminating and metallizing polypropylene film in the Brazilian converting market.

Jorge Goldschmied, sales director in Latin America for Battenfeld Gloucester, says, "It is a pleasure that CBS has chosen our equipment to support and guarantee its present level of growth. This is the first CPP line of this size in Brazil and the second one in Latin America."
