TLMI links with FFTA for fall tech conference
Staff -- Converting Magazine, 6/1/2005
Themed "Progress Without Limits," the fall technical conference organized by the Tag & Label Manufacturers Institute (Naperville, IL) and the Foundation of Flexographic Technical Association (Ronkonkoma, NY) will uncover the tools and technologies changing the face of label converting in the years ahead.
The program is set for Sept. 7–9 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. Serving as co-chairs of the event are Art Yerecic, president of Yerecic Label; Rick Olszewski, vice president and general manager of Fasson Roll North America; and Rick Mix, technical director of FTA. More than 40 industry veterans from across the converting spectrum will provide the framework for an educational, fact-packed, two-day agenda. Presentations, following the central theme of "Progress Without Limits," include hot topics such as Lean Manufacturing, where industry experts will share how lean manufacturing can provide converters with low cost, common sense opportunities to increase productivity and reduce waste. A session on radio frequency identification (RFID) will also be presented to give attendees a better understanding of the technology as well as provide updates on fast approaching opportunities for RFID label converters. Additional topics: Low-Cost Decoration and Security Opportunities; 100% Inspection & Automated Flagging; and Non-Stop Productivity With Turrets & Unwinds. A tabletop exhibition will display the latest products and services during the conference.
Registration fee is $425 for either TLMI or FTA members prior to August 1, and $525 for non-members.
