End-product profile

-- Converting Magazine, 1/1/2001

These sticker/trading cards were printed on Vision Group's new Mark Andy 2200. A 10 mil. custom polystyrene p.s. construction and a 1.3 mil polypropylene overlam was treated on both sides by an in-line Enercon corona treater attached to the press.

After the film is treated, the press prints 4-color process [with Water Ink Technologies water-based inks] laminated with a self wound polypropylene by R2 Tape. The front side is printed 4-color process plus 2-line colors, UV release by Northwest Coatings, and two scratch-off coatings.

The scratch-off coatings are applied with Harper 250 line anilox rolls and dried by the XericWeb dryers. Because of the dryers, the press was able to maintain an average press speed of 325 fpm.
