System checks color print quality

-- Converting Magazine, 1/1/2001

Nireco Corp., 03/3562-2201, fax: 03/3564-4316.

The BCON 1000 print-quality inspection system can be mounted on a printing press or an inspection machine to inspect the whole image of all printed matter. If a defect is found, a buzzer sounds and a label is affixed beside the location; the defect position is indicated on the color monitor. The sensor is composed of color line-sensor cameras, transmission lamps and reflector lamps. For defect analysis, RGB image data is sent from the camera and compared with reference image data.
