Staff -- Converting Magazine, 12/1/2000
With its Windsor, Conn., headquarters open Nov. 1, new supplier Körber PaperLink North America brings together specialized machinery and services for the paper-converting industry. Offered via an international group of companies will be the experience and technical know-how to satisfy most all paper-processing needs for cut-size, folio-size, stationery products and a variety of converting systems, the new company says.
The single-source provider includes ECH Will (cut- and folio-size sheeting systems and production lines for exercise books, ruling machines and loose leaf filler machines); Kugler-Womako (stationery and bookbinding machines, spiral and calendar binding machines and flexo printers); Pemco (complete ream production and packaging lines); Wrapmatic (material-handling machinery for reams and pallets); and the SHM line of flexible sheeters.
Pemco, Inc., acquired the patents, engineering specifications and design for the Accutec and 1400/1450 Series sheeters from SHM, Ltd. and SHM, Inc. Parts and technical support for existing SHM customers is handled by Pemco, and production of new SHM sheeters has begun at Pemco's facility in Sheboygan, Wis.
Peter Paulson, newly appointed president of Körber PaperLink North America, brings more than 20 years of experience in the paper and converting fields to the firm. He had served for nearly 10 years as vice president of Matik North America.
