Cast aluminum lugs on 3-in. air-expanding lug shafts have advantages for web processing applications, including a lighter shaft and increased body and air bladder life. With fewer overall components, the shafts can weigh as much as 12 lbs. less across a 60-in. shaft, allowing easier use by operators and less wear on machinery, especially during high-speed runs.
