The BroadBeam® line of electron-beam processors is again available to the overall converting industry as a result of the September 2003 acquisition of the technology by PCT-Product & Manufacturing LLC, Davenport, IA, from converter Bemis Clysar, Inc. RPC Technologies, who originally developed the BroadBeam family of electron-beam processors. Bemis Clysar selected PCT to be the new owner of BroadBeam based on the quality of engineering and machine-building services offered.
Irwindale, CA-based NDC Infrared Engineering names Simko S.A. (San Martin, Argentina) as its exclusive Systems Products distributor for that country. Simko has been in business since 1952. NDC Infrared Engineering provides non-contact sensors and systems for measurement of continuous-web process variables.
Roseville, CA-based Harris & Bruno International acquires the assets and intellectual property of ESS, Electro Spray Systems, Inc., Elk Grove Village, IL. ESS manufactures powder sprayer systems, infrared dryers and ink agitators. The transition team of Harris & Bruno will relocate all ESS business to the H&B headquarters. Harris & Bruno has served the offset and flexographic industry for 57 years with a variety of printing and coating solutions.
Scitex Vision, the Netanya, Israel-based provider of industrial digital-printing systems, enters a strategic partnership with Beiren Group Corp., the largest printing machinery manufacturer in China. The agreement initially covers the manufacture and assembly at Beiren of Scitex Vision's entry-level, super-wide-format digital-printing system—the Scitex Vision Grandjet Classic.
