Non-electric winder useable anywhere
The co.'s portable winder is non-electric and winds in either direction for any web including edge trim. Winding speed follows the line of the material while its pneumatic drive system, without gears or clutches, allows for stop/go or stalled motion. It can be mounted on or off machines, at any angle, or be placed on a cart for use anywhere. Other features include an optional oscillator, core or coreless winding and variable or positive speed and tension control.

Slitter/rewinder handles unwind rolls over 2,000 lbs.
The Model 738 slitter/rewinder is a cantilevered duplex differential center winder. It features standard web widths of 30 to 50 in., rewind diameters of 24 and 32 in. and speeds up to 1,500 to 2,000 fpm. The unwind diameters come in 32, 40 and 50 in. and the unwind roll can handle weight up to 2,000 lbs. It also gives converters the option of having heavier unwind rolls and wider webs.

Holder adjusts knife automatically
The "Genius" knife holder measures the diameter of the circular blade, then automatically adjusts to a preset knife overlap for the particular material. The operator selects the type of material to be slit on a touch panel. It also features automatic depth adjustment, an integrated knife size recognition and control via BUS technology. The Genius increases knife life, lowers regrind costs and provides constant slit quality, co. says.

PLC selects slitting features
The Lever LS-6200 can slit tapes, laminates and flexible films on rolls with up to 20-in. diameters. This automatic, single-knife roll slitter has a PLC operation and a menu driven operator interface for selecting various features. These include slit widths in inches or millimeters, index positioning and dual speed knife entry, among others. It also has a servomotor-powered lead screw and two independent 5 HP AC inverter drives for knife and chuck speed control.

Winder produces up to 600 rolls/hr
Co. introduces a new stack turret winder for stretch films that can wind stretch film up to 100 in. wide and wind 10, 10-in. wide rolls on each shaft, totaling 20 rolls per set. Dubbed the AUTOMAX TCK250, it is used by processors to create multiple rolls of stretch film on 3-in. cores that are up to 12 in. in diameter. It is capable of winding at 600ft/min. with tensions as low as 0.25 lbs. per in., producing up to 600 rolls per hour.
