Product traceability system
Separates RFID tag from bar code
Two cos. worked together to create the product traceability system (PTS) for the deployment of RFID tags. It separates the RFID tag from the bar coded data, which enables both labels to be read independently. It also allows the manufacturer to place the RFID tag in the optimum read position while keeping it from interfering with the location of the bar code. This makes it possible to provide different levels of information in each tag.
