Package and commercial printers endured the Chicago winter for Heidelberg's "Hawaiian Holiday" open house, held Jan. 19 and 20 at the company's Mount Prospect, IL, facility. Along with machine demonstrations, there were short presentations about Prinect, a family of integrated workflow components based on an electronic file standard. Prinect creates an electronic job ticket, which follows the job throughout production, adjusting machines such as platemakers, presses and diecutters as needed. Prinect also works with other companies' machinery using the same standard.
