Kroenert holds open house, dedicates trial coater
Staff -- Converting Magazine, 2/1/2005
Coater/laminator machinery maker Maschinenfabrik Max Kroenert (MMK) hosted an open house Nov. 18 at its Hamburg, Germany, headquarters facility. More than 300 converting professionals attended the dedication ceremony for the supplier's new 5,300-fpm, 51-in.-wide trial coating line. The multi-functional TC III line employs a BMB curtain-coating system that demonstrated a newly developed hot-melt curtain-coating technique jointly achieved by Norton and the Kroenert Group. This application method is targeted to clear-on-clear hot-melt labeling as it provides unmatched clarity and uniformity at high speeds, the companies say. In the coming months, Kroenert will present a high-speed adhesive- and silicone-coating seminar to industry professionals.
