Chinese converter Jiangyin Shenda Group will triple its biaxially-oriented PET-film capacity with a new production line from Brückner Maschinenbau GmbH, Siegsdorf, Germany. The installation will bring Shenda's annual output from 20,000 to 60,000 metric tons. The contract-signing ceremony for the new line between Brückner`s chief operating officer Ludwig Eckart (foreground left) and Shenda`s chairman Zhang Guo Ping (foreground right) took place recently at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder were in attendance. In the last year, more than 50 percent of Brückner's orders came from China.
