Converters and printers from across North America took part in Bobst Group USA's "Direction '04" open house, held at the company's headquarters in Roseland, NJ, on Nov. 12–13 and 15. The event saw the US launch of 12 new products previously announced earlier this year at Drupa 2004 in Germany. Nine machines ran live production during the open house. Among the systems demonstrated were five new diecutters and foil-stampers, and four new folder/gluer units. Simultaneously, Bobst's Flexible Materials Business unit displayed a Schiavi compact laminator-CL 450, Titan SR8 slitter/rewinder, and the Schiavi Universal Deck from the Model EF4040/5050, an innovative CI-flexo press.
