David A. Markgraf, senior vp of surface-treatment equipment supplier Enercon Industries Corp., Menomonee Falls, WI, will retire from the company at the end of the year.

A long-time converting- and packaging-industry veteran, Markgraf has been involved with the surface-energy characterization and enhancement of paper, extruded-coated paper, polyolefin films and foils since 1980. A TAPPI member for 22 years, he also has been active in the PLACE Div, serving as div. chairman, and chairman of both the film-extrusion and printing committees. Markgraf has published 12 technical papers and authored the corona-treatment chapter of a TAPPI manual. He is also an SPE member and a charter member of CEMA.
