More than 300 supporters attended the official dedication Sept. 17 of the new Harper Campus of Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC. Formerly the Southwest Campus, the location was renamed in honor of anilox-roll supplier Harper Corp. of America and Ron and Katherine Harper for their substantial contributions to the college and to flexographic education, in cooperation with the Foundation of Flexographic Technical Assn.

The Harper Campus houses the Harper National Flexographic Ctr. and is host to the annual Intl. Phoenix Challenge High School Flexo Skills Competition, where high school students from throughout the US and Canada participate annually. The center operates two Mark Andy 830 flexo presses and two Comco Cadets for hands-on training in flexographic technology.
