Corona treater

With swing-free electrodes

The new TNT-iI corona treater features new swing-free electrodes so splices and imperfections pass through the treater without interruption. When the electrode assembly is struck, it pivots away from the web allowing the imperfection to pass through the treater. The electrode then immediately relocates to precisely the right position and corona treatment continues. This important feature is said to guarantee that the electrodes remain locked in the treat or no-treat position and users are guaranteed even corona treatment. The TNT-iI treats conductive and non-conductive webs: entire web widths, segments, or lanes. Models are available to treat one side or two sides of the web.

Flexo printing deck

K 2004, Hall 3, Booth C 73

Co.'s Universal Flexo Deck does not identify with a fixed machine configuration or model but enables a progressive upgrading of initial CI-flexo press configuration from 8 to 10 colors after installation to meet the converter's changing requirements. The Universal Deck can be easily adapted to applications such as a stack element or downstream unit. The deck is fitted with 45mm linear guides to improve stiffness and stability of the mandrel supports. The integrated pneumatic-locking system gives the operator the possibility to insert a strong clamping of guides to avoid bouncing and vibrations in critical printing applications. The direct-drive concept of the plate cylinders ensures transmission-free control, and the direct coupling between motor and mandrel guarantees a high dynamic of the control loops for maximum print accuracy.
